the Dalaverse

Went to the mall in Waldorf with Vanessa last night. It was sort of hurried shopping, because we didn't there till after 8, but it was successful shopping nonetheless. I have managed to subvert all the weird, intense maternal longings and urges I've had over the past week into a single focus: my new black satin flats. *singsong* Black satin flats, black satin flats! Even though my feet are oddly long and oddly narrow so that the length of an 8 fits me but I have to buy a 7 to keep them from falling off, they are still PERFECT. Also bought a brown couroroy skirt and a couple of blouses. Hooray clearance racks at Old Navy.

Last night as I was falling asleep, somebody wandered into our suite from the party at the corner (I think, anyway). He called out a last name, didn't get any response, and then stood outside our door/Steph and Anya's door for a little while. I could hear these weird clicking sounds, and I sort of wanted to get up and ask him what the hell he thought he was doing, but I assumed he was writing a note on Steph and Anya's whiteboard. Eventually he left, and then I got to thinking, what if he was molesting Dracula? Dracula, you see, is my Halloween decoration boyfriend. We've had him for ages and I started hanging him on the door last year, when he got put up for Halloween and never taken down. We made him a Christmas suit. Anyway, he's dear to my heart, so then I freaked out that I would step outside this morning to find him in pieces on the floor. But he's okay. I repeat -- Dracula is okay.

And I'm going to write a ficlet today. It is of a pairing that I will not reveal, but I will say that I've never seen it before, ever. And when I post it, and you realize that you have seen a fic with this pairing before, oh please tell me. Because...hot.

Vanessa went downtown to see "The Importance of Being Earnest"...somewhere, I don't remember which theater. Not the Warner or the National. Anyway, room to myself all day! ::rejoices::
