IS SNOWING! ::bounces::

Also, I'm not sure, but Johnny Depp in OuaTiM might just be the coolestfuckingthingever.

I enjoyed every nonsensical second of that movie. Plot, what plot? We don't need no steenkin' plot! All I want to see is stuff get blowed up and lotsa noisy gunfights and pretty!suffering!Antonio and Johnny Depp.

"The Ref" was actually one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. Kevin Spacey's always perfect, of course, but I actually found myself like Denis Leary too.

Trying to write. "For Want of a Nail" is my first priority. I think I'm going to send Norrington away for awhile -- after the drunkscene, before the sex -- for some dream sequences. Also, that's when Jack gets the kitten. Kiiiiitten. I'm excited about that. I think I will name him Ned. Hee. That reminds me of Tina's kittens. Napkin, Puppy, Two-face -- what better names for kittens could there be?

*whimper*

God. Jack and Norrington are shouting at each other. I meant to do just a little postscript for the morning after the drunkscene, but Jack is angrier than I thought and Norrington, well, he up and followed him after he stormed out and now they're just spewing hateful things back and forth. I feel like I'm listening to my parents fight from two levels up.

Yeah. Norrington definitely needs to take a little voyage to cool off when this is done.

Okay, so finished the fightscene I was freaking out about. It was...rough. Well, maybe just for me, because I've been writing so much fluff. Apparently Jack and Norrington decided that there just was not enough angst in "Nail," so they supplied some, and I'm left writing the fallout. It actually looks as though it's going to work out quite nicely, though.

The new scene also caused me to break forty pages, which is pretty exciting.

The fightscene serves as a nice counterbalance to the scene in which Norrington finally gives into his feelings, I think. I love that scene. It's spare and simple, which is the main reason why I'm still debating about including the sexscene -- it's all right, I suppose, but it has a totally different mood. The scene before is set up for a fade-to-black, but then I just keep writing, and it reads kinda funny. Even if I do include the sexscene, it'll definitely be a separate chapter, though they're both from Norrington's POV.

Speaking of POV, I've so far kept the balance pretty even between the two, but I'm not wedded to the idea. I know for certain that the fallout of the fightscene will be jumbled -- both of them need to voice their thoughts. And the dream sequences, if I do them, will go together.

I don't know if I have it in me to write decent dream sequences. I may watch "Restless" a few dozen times before I try. Hell, they may not even prove to be necessary by the time they actually roll around.

And here I am going on about the middle-to-ending scenes of the fic, while I can't get more than a couple paragraphs of the one pending. I'll justify my reasoning by saying that the more completely I know where the fic is headed, the easier I'll be able to make the earlier transitional scenes. I want this next scene with Norrington and Jack bonding in the study, but frankly, I'm not sure I have anything to match the later stuff; all the emotional weight of the story is still aways off. Which makes it interesting to read feedback for the first few chapters, because I just wanna go "Yeah, but wait till you see THIS!"

Favorite scene, I think, is still the nightswimming one tied with the Jackattack!scene, which was, after all, the first bit I wrote.

I really love this new Nelly Furtado album.
