Having watched all the relevant scenes of "The Princess Bride," I polished up my little Jack/Inigo fic and here 'tis. Translations provided at the end -- knew I was going to exercise my Spanish this semester, even though it's the first time I haven't had a class in five and a half years.

And lo, the tortured writer did catch up to the first bit of writing she had made on the story, and she did find it crappy. So she did read it many times, and she did print it out and make use of the purple pen, and she did revise it until it was of the better. On a quiet Sunday she did post it, and went off to be likely disappointed by "The Matrix: Revolutions."

My cousin Beth had her baby on Thursday and Daddy sent me a picture! ::squeals:: He's tiny. We all thought he was going to be a girl (he was going to be Skye if he was a girl, and Dad sent Aunt Carolyn an e-mail cracking about how they'd better not vote Bush back into office because there was sure to be a gay marriage in his future with a name like Skye. Dad loves to torment the Republicans in the family and Aunt Carolyn twitces like none other).

Anyway, his name is David James after his father and we're calling him Jamie.

SQUEEE new baby! Another March baby! I can't wait to go see him over break.

ETA: MOTOWN IS THE GREATEST MUSIC EVER. In the past couple of hours, I've gone through the soundtrack to "Now & Then," the Mamas and the Papas' greatest hits, and BOTH editions of "The Big Chill" soundtrack. Hmmm, the Mamas and the Papas aren't technically Motown, so I will amend my previous statement: SIXTIES POP IS THE GREATEST MUSIC EVER. And I am so blissed out on it, it isn't even funny. Almost enough for "A Whiter Shade of Pale" to do whatever it is meant to do to you when you're stoned ::sways::
