Back very briefly to copy down my schedule so I can buy books.

Somebody please explain to me where I came up with the brilliant idea of taking five classes instead of four? Also, two hours of math. Just one hour of science at a time, thank goodness, but two. Hours. Of math.

*sigh*

Off to the wilds of St. Mary's County.

Well, here I am again.

Still not sure how I feel about all this. Right now I am mostly sad because the only three friends I managed to make (with the exception of my roommate) no longer attend this school. Also, something is wrong with finances, because my account says I owe thousands of dollars that I...don't. Will let my mother deal with it tomorrow when she calls about the parking permit I don't have yet. So the Cheese is illegally parked, but it's in Guam, and nobody polices Guam. The air conditioning in here is shoddy.

But the good: my books were a solid $100 cheaper than last year. I managed to get up all my posters (Flaming June was donated to the common room, which is very well-furnished). I e-mailed Richardson and she not only remembered me, but said I was first on the list for her Mythology in Literature course. The suite is well-organized and spiffy. I have all my music with me, or at least the absolute minimum of stuff I need. I went to dinner with Lauren instead of sitting around by myself. I've quickly reverted to my college state of not wanting to eat anything ever, which is good because all of my suitemates are friggen model-sized.

I think I will feel more at ease once classes start. Plus tomorrow is the first day of sailing, so at least I'll get to go down to the river.

Although we're now a good deal away from the main parts of campus, and it is so fucking hot. Really, is this heat/humidity/sun really necessary? Want November weather, right now. Also for Tina to visit me before she goes back to Savannah, and for Beth to visit whenever.
