the Dalaverse

Ooooh. Think I have a new favorite library spot. It's tucked back in the corner, beneath the stairs to the third level, and next to the windows. A table and two chairs -- the good, old, squashy ones, not the prissy new ones at the other end.

Problem is, somebody is currently sitting in my spot. Grrr.

I'm reminded of that one episode in "Gilmore Girls" where somebody is sitting at Lorelai's table du jour at Luke's and she goes and stands over them until they leave. Or maybe it was Rory. Actually, knowing the show, this has probably happened more than once.

I don't have the nerve.

Or the cute.

So I will retreat to an inferior spot, but rest assured, I will be back on Thursday, and that spot will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Have I mentioned yet that I love my suitemates? Because I really, really do. We just went out and had a funeral for Michelle's frog in the woods behind the quad, where it was very dark and buggy. No actual barrier; she tossed him into some...dark spot that could've been grass or a really catttail-bedecked pond, and wished him well as a meal for something. Jeanne sang "When the Saints Go Marching In."
