::bounces:: Hallowgreens tonight! Best party of the year, and I read somewhere that it's considered the best university Halloween party in the state. Basically, most everybody who lives on the townhouse green throws open their doors for drinking and dancing and debauchery. Plus, half the fun is wandering around gawking at the costumes. I'm headed up to Waldorf this afternoon for some shopping with the old suite, same as we did last year. All I really need to add to my costume is a short brown skirt -- I have a corduroy one, but it's a little big on me and looks funny underneath the sash. And I might buy a plastic sword and some tacky gold jewelry. Sucks that it's so cold. Either I will have to throw my black leather jacket on over my costume, or I'll have to consume so much rum I can't feel my limbs, much less the cold.
Last night was fun too. I went to see the school play, Fuente Ovejuna, with Larry and a couple of his suitemates. It was surprisingly good -- as in, not just SMC-level good, but good good. The acting was stellar, the costumes were amazing, and they really used our tiny stage well. Then we hung around watching "Exorcist III," which was also far better than expected. It had the best dialogue I've ever heard in a horror movie. There was witty snark, for god's sake. Also a few creepy moments sufficient for making me go to bed with Grace O'Malley playing the Nap Mix, so the silence wouldn't get to me.
For now, some writing. Why yes, it is yet another ghost story, why do you ask?
Ooooh, RotK is on Encore! I can forgive it for not being a horror movie. Unless you count Elijah Wood's shiny scrawny white chest.
