I was walking by before Museum Studies and I heard a construction guy say, "I kind of like it this way," but I didn't realize what he was talking about until I came back and it was all whitewash. I liked it before; it had random doodles and quotations and splashes of color. Now it'll be all organized. They did, however, for some unknown reason, leave the section with "The spirit of St. Mary's does not need to approved by a committee" in blue and orange, and if it stays amongst the approved mural I will appreciate the irony.
I'm headed home for the weekend just as soon as I've missed the worst of rush hour. Got the Cheese's oil changed this morning, so its engine is no longer in danger of burning up on the highway.
Apparently I missed a campus e-mail kerfuffle today. It was all about somebody allegedly wearing blackface on Hallowgreens, and whoever sent the original message sent it to everyone by collecting all the addresses (the year before I came was the year they revoked the all-student e-mail privelege, because people spammed with naked pictures and one-word replies and fake class cancellations. I'm kind of sorry to have missed that era). But I didn't get any, so someone must have unsent them all. Bloody bad luck is what that is.
Season 2 of "The L Word" is here! First disc, anyway. I think I'm going to not cancel Netflix after all. I am a bad, bad girl.
I kind of want to see "Jarhead," but I think I'll talk my parents into "Elizabethtown," since I know they'll like it and I know I already like it, and there's not much else out at the moment.
Too lazy to post Songs of the Week now; I'll do them Sunday when I get back. The theme will be Actors SING!
Which reminds me, anybody have a guess as to why I can't get downloaded videos to play in WinAmp? The audio works fine, but the screen is black with a filmstrip icon with a llama (? and again, ?!) inside that says "Nullsoft Video." It's very frustrating. I have a whole Indecision 2000 episode and I can only listen to it.
