::grumbles:: Am I the only know who did not realize "Brokeback Mountain" would be opening in such limited release? I didn't expect it down here, but nowhere within a fifty-mile radius at home, not one theater in D.C. -- no Bethesda, no Wheaton Plaza, no Landmark, NOT EVEN IN BLOODY DUPONT CIRCLE?! I mean, if you want a guaranteed audience, there you go...anyway, I hope it opens somewhere in Maryland, D.C., or Virginia next weekend.
They cancelled school this morning, for no other apparent reason than sometimes things just work out your way. Would've been nice not to spend all last night working on my presentation and then woken up at 6:18 this morning, but I'm not complaining.
Discovered that the ship's wheel Clip Art spins. Proceeded to stare at it for five straight minutes.
I have been exceptionally, extraordinarily unproductive today. I awoke, I showered, I...sat down in front of the TV and didn't get up. Seriously. I watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Peter Pan," most of "Some Like It Hot" (early Christmas present from the roomie, yay), "The Train Job," and the end of E!'s 101 Unforgettable SNL Moments countdown. Wayne's World as #1? Seriously, guys? I love Mike Myers and Dana Carvey too, but over "More cowbell!" and "Schwetty balls" and "Jane, you ignorant slut" and "Strategery" and "You are blind as a bat and I have sight" and "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood (WHO IS IT?!)" and "Would you like some more cham-pang-ya?" and "I live IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER" and The Church Lady and the Samaurai and Lisa Loopner and Bu(ck)wheat and Rosanne Rosanadana and Linda Richman and Celebrity Jeopardy and...and...and I still don't think David Spade's funny.
