I don't do many memes, but I can't resist the music ones. It's too entertaining to cut, and it's short. From
marinarusalka: Set your iTunes to Shuffle. Use each song that comes up, in order, to answer the following questions:
Question: What do you think of me, iTunes?
Answer: "Truth and Bone," Heather Nova
Awww. It knows I'm listening!
Q: Will I have a happy life?
A: "Skindiving," James
Hell, that sounds pretty happy to me.
Q: What do my friends really think of me?
A: "Mayan Bowl Breaks," Rachel Portman
Am I the Mayan bowl? Does this mean I will have a total nervous breakdown at some point?
Q: Do people secretly lust after me?
A: "I Can Make You a Man," RHPS soundtrack
Unless it is in fact a Rocky, um...no thank you?
Q: What should I do with my life?
A: "You Don't Mess Around With Jim," Jim Croce
Sound advice. I'll bear that in mind.
Q: Why must life be so full of pain?
A: "The Soldiering Life," the Decemberists
Due to war, or male camaraderie?
Q: How can I maximize my pleasure during sex?
A: "By the Way," Red Hot Chili Peppers
I will keep an eye out for Dani the girl. The whole steak knife, dopedick, pawnshop, etc. thing, I'll let slide.
Q: Will I ever have children?
A: "The Ballad of Hollis Brown," Bob Dylan
I never listen to this song. Hey, he had five children! ::continues listening; checks out lyrics:: Fuck you, iTunes, you take that back!
Q: Will I die happy?
A: "You Are My Sunshine," Norman Blake
I guess...that's a yes?
Q: Can you give me some advice?
A: "I'm Nobody's Baby," Judy Garland
That's just depressing any way you look at it.
Q: What do you think happiness is?
A: "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)," the Four Tops
I am totally willing to believe that happiness is slavish devotion and Motown.
Q: What's my favorite fetish?
A: "Silver and Gold," U2
While the band would certainly qualify, apartheid does not.
Q: Am I a complete freak?
A: "Run For Your Life," the Beatles
Hee. That was your best one. Also, this is the Beatles' scariest song, after "Revolution 9."
