So remember the white Sparrington ducks that lived on the pond on campus? And how last year, the Will and Elizabeth ducks moved in and we had a merry band of four? Well, last spring, two of the ducks -- Will and James -- were taken to live at Sotterly Plantation, leaving Jack with his bad wing and speckled Elizabeth to rule the pond. And for about a week, Elizabeth has been spotted all by her lonesome. The boys say they saw Jack walking by the road several times, so we can only assume he met an unpleasant end.

It's all very sad. Poor duck!Elizabeth.
