I HAVE MONEY AGAIN OMG. A whole paycheck, in the bank. I can buy a tank of gas now! I could even buy multiple tanks of gas! Let me put how bad the money situation had gotten in terms most easily understood: earlier this week, I sold some of my books. Books. Sold. I took them from my house, to the Book Alcove, and left them there in exchange for cash. And not very much cash, either, but it was at least enough to buy myself McDonalds and a beer last night, when I went to the Comedy Factory in Baltimore with Tina. Her coworker had free tickets, and after driving around the fucking maddening Baltimore streets (there is a street named Utah, only spelled phonetically -- "Eutaw Street." I laughed forever) and trying not to run down Ravens fans even though they deserved it, we made it and had a great time. Afterwards we drove to Cheeseburger in Paradise, where there were lots of drunk people and karaoke. I'm still trying to figure out what a legitimate Jimmy Buffett restaurant is doing in Bugfuck Glen Burnie, but it was neat, and I wish I'd had enough money for a margarita.

I do now, though! ::frolics:: I treated myself to lunch and a movie -- chicken and cheese tamales, grapes, and lemon sorbet from Trader Joes, and "Casanova" and the first disc of "Rome" from Blockbusters (who also gave me a free month trial of their Netflix-esque mail service. Score!). The tamales are cooking, the sorbet is chilling, and I'm going to sit in the cool basement and think about the upcoming autumn. I love fall. Cold! Leaves! Football! Cider! Halloween! Thanksgiving! Renaissance Faire! New classes! Summer can kiss my ass, fall is the best season.

Also, my love for this song cannot be described in words.
Music:: "i wish i was a punk rocker," sandy thom
Mood:: 'happy' happy
