Is it customary for Aaron Sorkin shows to induce headaches in the new initiates?
So many words!
Fall break was time for lazy. Saturday I did absolutely nothing but sit in the basement and watch TV, simply because good shit kept coming on TV, and even if it failed I had BSG and GA DVDs on hand. Yesterday the parents and I went to the Ren Fest, and my mother was pretty good and didn't complain too terribly much. I didn't buy anything but food, which is good for me. Dad was going to buy a walking stick because he likes to copy me, but he wanted one of the big, elaborately carved ones and Mom pitched a fit at the price, so he left without one, and then called me all excited this morning to say one of his friends at work offered to whittle him one. And you know what, I just realized I forgot my stick at home. I'm sad. I had it leaning against the DVD tower, in the middle of the Nelson memorial, and it looked so cool.
Tomorrow I have to work in the lab (the Historic lab, for class, not the MAC lab for work starting Wednesday; from now on they will be the lab and the Lab), for a decent amount of time, since I didn't go at all last week. Bleah.
Sarah Paulson does really good impressions. Better than most of the current SNL cast. I tried to watch it this weekend, and...yeah, still not funny. Although I really wish they wouldn't refer to it in "Studio 60," because it blows my whole suspension of disbelief out of the water. The sketch show "Studio 60" is supposed to be SNL, so how does SNL also exist? If SNL is still SNL, then Studio 60 has to be MadTV, or In Living Color (oh how I miss it -- Homey don't play that game!), or Second City or whatever, and it just isn't.
