First day at the Lab, and it went well. I'm basically re-organizing and re-labeling (bags, not the artifacts themselves) a particular collection, which is something I enjoy. I used to let my CDs get all disorganized so I could sit down and put them all back in the right cases and in alphabetical order. It's kind of like that. ANd my boss Sara is nice. Oh, and their third intern is apparently bowing out, so it's possible I could get an another hundred hours. Next semester, certainly.
I really can't wait for this one to be over. Even when I'm not complaining about it, I promise you, it's hellish.
The movie tonight was "Touch of Evil," and wow, it was good. Orson Welles was fantastic, the use of music was ahead of its time, and I actually found Charlton Heston attractive. Even if he does make a pretty shoddy Mexican. Picture Moses with a black mustache speaking bad Spanish with no attempt at an accent and you've pretty much got it. I was very impressed (keep in mind that our last movie was "Citizen Kane," and I am still not sold on it. I actually fell asleep at the same exact point as when I first saw it). I don't know how I find Welles less creepy as an obese dirty cop, but I do.
Hee, John Oliver Civil War re-enacting without realizing it's fake. Jesus, I wonder if he really did break his nose -- that was some pratfall. And....we have our slash. Thank you, TDS.
