...Someone please explain to me why I felt compelled to start a hat, a scarf, and a shawl all in the same night. All with the same leftover yarn from my mother's blanket.

Okay, I'll try to explain myself. I started with the scarf in blue, white and green in order to match my (already finished and perfect) hat. Except then I remembered how I made my grandmother a shawl from this yarn and meant to make one for myself, so I found a really pretty pattern for the cranberry, rose and white yarn. Then I went BACK to the scarf, realized the colors didn't even remotely match those in the hat (I can't find the yarn I made the hat with anywhere, which is a shame because it's beautiful). So I decided I ought to make a hat to match the new scarf, which is a good idea because I can't just wear the one hat all the time.

This is in addition to the two blankets I have going on. And now I have three projects sharing the same needle.
