I win at potatoes! Last week I made potato skins (and by extension baked potatoes), and tonight I made oven-fried potatoes. All of the above turned out beautifully. I put parmesan and rosemary (which I think will become my favorite herb -- it's so damned delicious) on mine, Ness put Old Bay on hers.
So my culinary oeuvre consists of (things that aren't freeze-dried or in a can):
--scrambled eggs
--omelettes
--baked potatoes
--potato skins
--fried potatoes
...I guess there's not a lot of variety or nurtitional value in that, eh? I really do wish I liked vegetables, especially because raw meat freaks me out and I don't like looking at it, touching it, or thinking about it. But so far all I've managed to do is cultivate a taste for onions and garlic. Actually, last week I think I accidentally made bruschetta while I was fussing with tomatoes and chopped onion and garlic in a skillet. I'll have to get a real recipe and see if I can do it on purpose.
I love Teen Jeopary. It makes me feel very smart.
The movie this weekend is "Stranger Than Fiction"! I'm going tonight, and I just might go tomorrow too.
