SNOW! Snow snow snow snow snow! I stopped hearing the rain, so I looked outside to check and I actually clapped my hands in delight. And in St. Mary's I bet it's just raining!
Well, I suppose this scraps my plans of going to the Germantown UU church with Dad. He left for a meeting before it started precipitating, but he's not going to want to go back out when he gets back home. In theory I don't mind driving in bad weather, except I can't recall if I've ever actually driven the Cheese in the snow. We can't take the Jeep because it's having problems yet again. Oh well, some other time this spring.
Och, it's so pretty...
I had an interesting dream last night. I dreamed that my two cats were curled up on the couch (the old ugly orange couch), purring away. In the dream I remembered they were dead and knew they weren't there to stay, but I could still touch them and pet them. Then I found a bowl of cat food in the kitchen and I asked this guy who was staying at our house if he'd seen an orange tabby cat wandering around (I remember the phrasing specifically, and thinking that Snake wasn't really orange so much as tan). He said yes, and I smiled and explained that Snake had died several years ago but sometimes came back to visit, and he didn't really need the food. It was a good dream.
I tried to watch the second half of "Saturday Night Live" last night when we got home because Rainn Wilson was hosting, but it is still just not very good. I came in during Weekend Update -- never a segment I particularlay cared for since TDS serves the same purpose and is always funnier -- except for the Jane Curtain/Dan Ackroydone -- and there was an affected, painfully unfunny "Aunt Linda" character trying to be Emily Litella and/or Roseanne Rosanadana. I didn't recognize the cast member, but lord she was awful. And then there was this skit about astonishingly dull office workers that was funny for the first seven minutes or so, but then went on and on and sucked hardcore. I'm going to stop watching current SNL and restrict myself to the original cast, the Eddie Murphy days, the Phil Hartman/Adam Sandler/Chris Farley era, and the Cheri Oteri/Will Ferrell/Molly Shannon/Ana Gasteyer cast. Damn, I miss the Culps and the Spartan Cheerleaders and Mary Catherine Gallagher. Now that was fine comedy.
Yay snow!
