I found my writing mojo!

Because I was downloading a file, I didn't take my laptop to play Spider and read TWoP recaps during Geology (there weren't any new ones up anyway). I meant to read my works of Elizabeth book, but I was having a hard time balancing the floppy lab manual to hide it. Actually paying attention to the lecture lasted all of two minutes before I got fidgety, so I took out my notebook. I had been newly contemplating a fic idea I've meant to write since DMC came out earlier in the afternoon, and I had a first line, so I started to write. I got through a page before I realized hey, I could totally tie this into the remix story I haven't been able to write. Specifically I thought of a fic by my assignment that I really loved, but hadn't been able to come up with anything to say about. But this -- I can totally say this. Any more detail would be telling, but I'm very excited. I don't have to pull out at the last minute after all! (That's what he said...sorry, I haven't done that since the summer, I couldn't resist).

Then I decided I shouldn't write any more of it until I double-checked that the concept would work with the fic-to-remixed (I did, and it does, huzzah!) and started working on the last bit of Brothers in Arms instead, since I'd had a very vivid addition to the scene while driving home. That one got all the way onto a second page, and then class was over and I came back to squee. Squee having been accomplished, I will now pull the handwritten pages out and type up the remix one, and get as much of that written as possible before I go over to Gina's at 10 to watch "Happy Feet." "American Idol" will be my soundtrack for the first hour, then the DMC soundtrack which I have finally gotten ahold of. I might post more extensive thoughts about it later, but right quick it has a lot of neat elements I never noticed before, "Wheel of Fortune" and "Hello Beastie" are great tracks, and the techno remix is sort of awesome. I can see Kiltverse Jack and Will dancing to it in some club in, like, Berlin or Brasilia. Will would be all shy and inhibited until Jack coaxed a few shots into him, tequila rather than rum so he can lick the salt off Will's skin. Then Will would lose himself in the music and the motion, rolling his hips, rolling his head on his neck, and Jack would glare at all the guys trying to hit on him while Will laughed, and then they'd go out back in the alley and have hot sweaty exotic wallsex.

...Um, what?

One more thing: does anybody have any Vienna Teng? I recently snagged "Harbor" from somebody, somewhere, and it is one of the prettiest songs I have heard, like, ever. Exquisite vocals plus sea imagery. The only other song I have of hers (theirs?) is "Blue Caravan." If any of you guys want to share, I will write you whatever you like (within reason *Jack Dav eyebrow*)

Hey, Melinda actally has a neck this week! I hope somebody gave the stylists a raise.

ETA: OMG, the Chris dude needs to STOP butching "Smooth." Rob Thomas's voice is the definition of sexy in that song ("turning you round, rrroownd..." ::shivers::) and this guy sounds like a little boy. The only reason it was bearable was the great guitarwork from the band.
Music:: melinda doolittle sexin' it up
Mood:: 'excited' excited
