More random AWE points behind the
--"Think like Will, think like Will, think like Will...half barrel hinges!" Except that it's half-pin barrel hinges, darling -- if you'd seen your own movie three hundred times like some of us have, you'd know that!
--Cotton made it through. I don't think I could've handled it if Cotton AND Weatherby had died.
--Marty firing that big gun during the final battle. They kept using his height for comic relief, but here? No joke. No joke at all. Just a deadly man with a weapon.
--One of the Jacks making eyes at a goat. Just about died laughing.
--Will redirecting Calypso's rage toward Davy Jones rather than the pirate lords - of course he understands betrayal.
--The whole exchange between Jack and Tia Dalma about how she tried to kill him but he enjoyed it at the time. I want to see THAT fic.
--The Singapore sisters, sadly gone too quickly - but I could see large quantities of fic about them, especially since they seem to know Jack.
--For anyone disappointed about Elizabeth wearing skirts in the final scene, I would just like to point out that Anne Bonny and Mary Read dressed as women when they were going about their daily business, once their secret was out; they only donned men's clothing in battle. Damn, I wish somebody would make a decent movie about Anne and Mary and Calico Jack. The time is now, people!
