the Dalaverse

::stretches:: Long day yesterday, but it ended well. Finally got together with Jessie, along with Beth, Keisha, and Jessie's friend Jessica, who got us a steep discount on drinks at Orange Ball because she works there. We played pool, we had delicious Jolly Rancher shots, we danced a little, and we ran into a random guy from our high school that none of us had been friends with, but we all remembered each other (and are friends on Facebook, which is really all that matters). It was good times. Jessie was back to being fun Jessie, and it was nice to hang out with Beth again.

I meant to go to the gym today, but between the hip-hop dance class on Thursday with Katherine (don't laugh, it was fun) and last night, and also locking myself out of the elevator so I had to go up and down seven flights of stairs a couple times, I'm feeling quite well excercised, thank. Maybe I'll go to the gym later. And if I can get in touch with kinetikatrue, Shakespeare in the Park tonight. And then Fallout Boy and co. with tricksterquinn on Monday evening. So far I'm sticking to my summer resolve of Going Places and Doing Things with People (And Here I'm Referring to People).

Wrote a Jack/James ficlet yesterday (and worked on "Keeping Faith" some, but got stuck - I think writing a different, later scene might make it easier to write this one). Unfortunately I didn't have time to post it in all the dinner and drinking and fun, and when I got home I was a wee bit too drunk to type coherently. But at least I'm not hungover, and I shall post it momentarily.

ETA: Anybody want to go see the Decemberists at Merriweather on July 14th?
