Fifteen books you've read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes.

Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L'Engle
A Ring of Endless Light by Madeleine L'Engle
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Little Prince by Antoine de St. Expery
Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce (if I have to pick ONE Pierce, that's the first one I read)
Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton (my first grown-up book)
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
The Catcher In the Rye by JD Salinger (which I HATED the first time I read it in seventh grade, but loved when I read it in 12th)
The Cat Who Came For Christmas by Cleveland Amory
Doomsday Book by Connie Willis
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon
Lamb by Christopher Moore

There's not one of those I've read fewer than three times. I have probably read Alanna fifteen times, no exaggeration (the last being a month ago). I'm a big re-reader.

And I am STILL jazzed about "Star Trek." I need to go see it again, and someone needs to go with me.
Mood:: 'nostalgic' nostalgic
