What's twenty-four years old and going to Kings Dominion on Saturday? THIS GUY!
Kings Dominion is seriously one of my favorite places in all the land. There are pictures of me on the kiddie tugboats and carousel and airplanes when I was but a wee Dala. The Rebel Yell is not the first coaster I ever went on - that would be the Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens - but it is the very first coaster I fell in love with (I thought I was going to fall out of the Loch Ness Monster and die, which sort of soured me on roller coasters for a couple years). It's probably still my favorite, aside from the Millennium Force in Cedar Point. Although I have learned not to eat cheeseburger bites and ride the backwards one. Plus there's the Grizzly and the Hurler and the Anaconda and the Flight of Fear and Volcano and all these new ones I've never been on.
Kings Dominion is also the first vacation I ever took on my own - Jessie and Tina and I drove down and stayed in a hotel BY OURSELVES in...junior year? Maybe senior year, I'll ask Jessie on Saturday, because of course that's who came up with the brilliant plan (and I haven't really seen her all summer so it's doubleplus good). That was when we snuck the camera up to the top of the Drop Tower, then couldn't get it out of hiding in time so we ended up with like ten pictures of the inside of Jessie's shorts. Good. Times.
Also, there's a water park with a wave pool. Honestly, what more can you ask for in life?
