Just finished Neverwhere, read in a marathon of several hours because I could not put it down.

Can't talk.

Forgot how much I loved Gaiman.

Want Richard/Door/de Carabas fic so, so badly.

Fairly certain there was a British miniseries filmed a couple years ago. Will make a Blockbusters run tomorrow, on the off chance that they'll have it. If they don't, well, I'll just have to suffer because I have to stop spending money.

I tried really hard to keep from casting Jack Davenport as Richard in my head, but I couldn't help it. And I started out picturing Johnny Depp as the marquis, but I snapped out of it eventually. But don't even try to tell me that Kevin McNally isn't the perfect Old Bailey

HEY! The miniseries Door is Kate from "A Knight's Tale"! That actress is my Lira, from my faithful old unfinished fantasy novel. Not quite Door as I would have cast her, but that's still awesome.

I think I will throw myself a mini Gaiman-fest and reread Stardust.
Mood:: 'pleased' pleased
Music:: "ruby soho," the clash

I always thought of the Marquis as Christopher Walken, largely becayse he played Puss In Boots. Then I read that the Marquis was black and, well, that threw my idea out the window.

In my mind, Richard looks like Gaiman (largely because he was staring at me from the back cover, beckoning me to join him).

I should introduce myself now...Hello. I came here by [livejournal.com profile] laylah_r from a discussion she had about "Nothing New Under The Sun" (which I am enjoying quite a bit). I hope to see more of it soon. Keep writing, please - you're very good.

Christopher Walken would be good too. I suppose if we're going by the description of him in the book, I'd cast the guy who played Mr. Trick in "Buffy." But I still think Johnny Depp would knock it outta the park.

Hehehe. Gaiman is Shadow to me, because his picture's on the back of American Gods too (and it's even bigger -- takes up the whole friggin cover on my copy).

Hi, and thank you :) I'm trying valiantly to finish "Nothing New" in the next day or so.

Depp would be good, but he doesn't have the commanding presence I assoicate the Marquis with that I think Walken shares. Depp fits into a room, while Walken forces the room to accomidate to him. But that's just me.

I'll go FB what you've posted now.
