the_dala at 10:02am on 16/08/2004Wow. Scariest dream I've had in quite awhile.
I was going to a horse show. I was driving a truck and I had Missy and Mathew's old pony Goldie in a nice, big, eight- or ten-horse trailer. The parts of the trailer not taken up by horses were covered in junk, including a giant package of raw steak. So I was in the driver's seat of this truck and all of a sudden I was on the highway. Just...there. All the way over in the left lane, pulled over onto the shoulder. I wasn't familiar with the truck, so I poked around for awhile until I found the emergency lights. I guess this must've ben the slowest highway in the whole damn world, because I managed to pull out into the lane and start driving. But the seat was up too far, and when I tried to move it back, it wouldn't budge because the trailer was apparently built into the truck so the horses were right up against the back of the seat, and Missy was lying down for some unfathomable reason, and she wouldn't budge. So there I was driving along, all shoved up against the giant wheel, wondering how on earth I was going to be able to switch lanes without causing a pile-up.
Scary driving dream ::shudders:: Guess it's safe to say that you'll never get me behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer now.
