Jesus, Mary and various and sundry holy things. Horatio carrying Archie to the gate, giving him the water...Could they be any slashier? /Chandler voice.

Dear Mr. Hornblower:

Please stop stroking your face like that, especially your lower lip. I know you are Thinking Very Hard, but a girl just can't keep buying new panties every damn day of the week.

This French guy is kinda hot.

"Horatio, are you still here?" Exactly what I was thinking. "Go to your cell." *snicker*

Oh, it's the bedside manlove again. Excellent. And FEEDING *meep* That looks disgusting, actually.

Dude, I love this woman. "So I sacrificed some small, insignificant things..." And the look he gives her -- the puppy look. They've really done a clever turn with this tiny scrap of plotline.

Archie has got that long-haired consumptive poet tragedy look DOWN.

That blond girly-looking guy is so creepy.

Horatio in da hole! *whimper*

Jesus. Is this director TRYING to kill me? Between the mouth-fingering, the gay, and the rain falling down on Horatio's face, I'm just...dead. Deaddeaddead.

I have such love for the Three Amigos. Oldroyd: "Look!" (Horatio getting out of cell) Matthews: "Thank the Lord for that." Styles: (grins, smacks Oldroyd upside the head)

OMG PILE OF SNUGGLE.

Mad cheering for the Indie.

That was AWESOME. Best one so far.

Hee. I went to the bathroom and this guy in boxers walks in and goes, "Hi, I'm Matt, Michelle's brother. I was that random guy on the couch last night." So the mystery is solved. Also, he's cute and had no shirt on. Good times.

Anybody know exactly when women might have entered the theater in England? I want to make one of Norrington's sisters an actress -- the black sheep of the family, and therefore Jack's favorite -- for the supersekrit Nail sequel, but I don't know how plausible that would be. Suppose she could just be a theater groupie, if there was such a thing.

And yes, actually, her name is Kitty :) Though I swear I had that planned before I ever read Forestor.

-glomptackles Archie- He angst so prettily. <3

And yes, women were actresses by that time. So go for it.

Just. So. CUTE.

Awesome. I have this image of her sneaking into the house in the dead of night and running to Jack while he's sneaking around trying to find Norrington's bedroom.

Women were actresses, but I believe they were only considered one step up from prostitutes. You'd better go carefully there--black sheep would have been an understatement. But, boy, it could be the start of a really interesting plotline. And possibly het! What a concept!

Well, not so much, I have to admit -- intending to drop hints that Norrington is not the only one in his family with less than kosher traits :)

::giggles:: If I can get past this whole problem where Norrington flat-out refuses to narrate the first scene....

**Anybody know exactly when women might have entered the theater in England?**

Premiere magazine ran a picture of Billy Crudup and Clare Danes (? unless it was Kirsten Dunst) in an upcoming movie about a man who had been playing female roles and is then displaced as women start acting the female roles. It's supposed to be very gender-bendy and has a cool time period, so I'm intrigued.

Looks like I've been beaten, but yeah, what [livejournal.com profile] fabu said. I researched it for The Play's the Thing because the date and the English attitude toward actresses were kinda sorta important to the story. But you already knew that. :)

I remember! I was gonna hunt that down to see what you'd found, although it isn't going to be as integral to the plot. Just kind of "This is Kitty, she likes the theater, don't encourage her." :)

Oh yes, I love the Duchess & the Devil so much. Just so much pretty and gay and h/c and then there's Kitty who totally kicks ass and takes names.
