I LOVE MEG AND ROXANNE. I have always loved them, but this dress code protest is whole new levels of love. And Rox's bright orange mini was awesome.
JJ's nurse is so cute.
Love everybody's new hair. Much more period-appropriate for Meg especially, even though I adored her curls.
Solid episode all around. Not great, but a good kickoff to the season. Favorite bit was Meg and Sam at the café or whatever at the end, although Gavin Degraw's cover of "The Tracks of My Tears" was terrible. I like the guy's voice all right and I didn't hate it when he did "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away," but dude. Why would you fuck with Smokey Robinson? Just...why?
Previews! Daphne Zuniga! Nicole Ritchie...eh. I actually liked her on "The Simple Life," but I have no idea if she can sing. Most importantly, "I don't need your permission" -- GO HELEN. And new love interest for Sam was pretty, but I will only like her if she pushes him in Meg's direction.
I need some kind of political/peacenik/hippie icon. Really, really bad. I will settle for Elizabeth. Because you can never have too much Elizabeth.
ETA: Patty got the best line of the night. Will was upset that he had killed their neighbor because he'd prayed that she would die, and she did. Patty: "Will, if you could pray people dead, I'd be an only child."
