::beams:: Had a good girly weekend. Watched "Mean Girls" in the common room tonight. So freaking funny. I feel like I should dislike Lindsay Lohan, but I just can't. She's adorable, and she has great boobs. Last night we watched a disc of "Sex and the City" (IN the city? We don't get HBO) while Vanessa and Jeanne gave knitting lessons. I can knit now, ya'll. Bought yarn for a scarf for me, one for Mom, and a hat for Dad. Homemade Christmas presents...at least it's not like that year where I forgot and wrote them a poem about two hours before midnight on Christmas Eve. They framed it and hung it in the bedroom, but with irony.
My scarf's going to take forever because I made it too wide and my needles are tiny, but the yarn is beautiful. It's called Painted Desert, and it's these muted tans and greens and blues and reds. Soooo pretty ::strokes:: I wanted the bright rainbow color-changing yarn, but I'm either going to make it into a bag or a blanket.
Have not yet attended to the four-inch crack in my windshield, as the glass place was closed by the time we got there this afternoon. It's so scary. I watch it out of the corner of my eye when I drive, and I swear it grows. Can I get a ticket for that? Thing is huge. It might be over four inches by now, actually.
*sigh* Loud hip-hop. But somehow, watching tiny white Alexis bopping around to it makes it bearable. I love my suite.
Don't worry, I'll be depressed again in a couple of days. Might as well enjoy the good mood while it lasts. Which is why I'm putting off watching "Retribution," which is sitting in its red envelope not a foot from the keyboard.
