the Dalaverse

*bouncebounce* Chili cookoff today, right smack outside my room. The Napolean Dynamit chili was hands-down my favorite. I intend to be going "GOD!" and "Sweet!" all afternoon. We sat in the grass and listened to some of the a capella groups. The co-ed one, I forget their name, was fantastic. They did a rendition of "Like A Prayer" that included, I kid you not, a faked orgasm worthy of Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally." And that kid Hank from my Lit in History I class last semester? Sings like Freddie Mercury. I'm not fucking exaggerating. I have never before heard a male hit those notes live. Jeanne and Gwen participated in the apple-eating contest, which was adorable gay and I wish I'd had my camera. Then TNA, the all women's a capella group which includes my suitemate Lauren, did a handful of songs. Mariana sang "Summer of '69" and good LORD that little girl has a voice. Very much Christina, and ewww, but in terms of technical capability, you have to give her credit.

And I think we're going somewhere tonight, which is good because otherwise I'd sit around and eat chocolate and mope. Wooooo for socialization.
