I guess I really have to do this bio project now. Sigh. I spent all weekend and yesterday avoiding it, but unfortunately? Didn't go away.

I hate science. Have I ever mentioned that? Hate. It. More than math. Well, maybe not more than calculus. But definitely more tha algebra and trig.

What we have to do is pick four out of about fifteen scientific issues and describe each presidential candidate's position on them. It sounds easy enough, but where I'm running into trouble is actually reading the scientific journals so I can support my candidate. Because...I hate science. That kind of puts a damper on my level of enthusiasm and comprehension when reading about it.

Look, I've wasted ten minutes. Go me.

Auggggggh. This is totally worse than the Zola paper. I care about these issues, I really do. I just don't want to have to write about them.

Last class:

(Hatch explaining the Bush administration's Clean Air Act, which to sum up is horseshit)
Emily: It's more like the Not So Clean Air Act.
Dala: The Dingy Air Act, you might say.

*whine* Make it go awaaaay.
Mood:: 'bitchy' bitchy

Wow. You actually have to read sci journals? Which issues are you doing? I'm a total sci-geek-wad.

Endangered species, global population control, climate change, and "significance of understanding evolution in a sustainable society," which I might drop because it's got me scratching my head. Haven't started the search for journal articles yet; hoping I can find them all online so I can go back to my room and put this off a little longer work there :)

Ah, have you thought about doing embryonic stem cell research? There's certainly a lot of poli. hype about that.

Bio-geek here.

What journals are you reading? Which issues are you discussing?

Ooooh! I wish we lived closer so I could help you.
Did I mention how much I love science, and bio in particular.

Guess thats why I've got that silly piece of paper with B.S. printed across it in big letters. Or maybe that was the award for the story teling competition. I get those two confused. *silly grin*

I'm sorry you have to do something you hate.
*sends you some of my love for and understanding of the subject*

Issues: endangered species, global population control, climate change, and evolution/creationism in the classroom. Journals I don't know -- whichever of the many subscriptions in the library are available online, probably :) I've decided to put it off till after dinner.
