And now I share with you: Holy Four quotes. Because that is how I plan on getting through the rest of the day.

"Return to Oz"

Jack: If his brains ran down, how can he talk?
Dorothy: It happens to people all the time, Jack.

The Gump: If I had a stomach, I know I'd be sick!

Billina: What is this, a man or a melon?
Jack: A pumpkin, if you please

Billina: We come all this way to see a buncha stiffs?

Mombi: I believe I'll lock you in the tower for a few years until your head is ready. And then I'll take it.
Dorothy: I believe you will not!

Dorothy: Why do you have to tie me down?
Nurse Wilson: So that you don't fall off.
Dorothy: I came all the way from the farm on a buggy and I didn't fall off.

Ozma: Why did they bring you here, Dorothy?
Dorothy: Because I can't sleep. And I talk about a place that I've been to, but nobody believes it exists.

Doctor Worley: And how did you come back from...Oz?
Dorothy: With my ruby slippers.
Doctor Worley: How did they work?
Dorothy: You put them on and you click your heels three times, and you say, "There's no place like home."
Doctor Worley: Dorothy, where are those slippers now?
Dorothy: I lost them. They fell off on the way back.

Tik-Tok: I have always valued my lifelessness.

Dorothy: Cowardly Lion! What's happened to you? Oh, Cowardly Lion...what's happened to everybody?

I love Return to Oz

I was terrified of the Wheelers and the Deadly Desert when I was a kid

The Holy Four are, along with PotC and "Almost Famous," my favorite movies of all time. And you know, I guess as a kid I never realized how severely fucked up this movie is. It's scary.

I've read a bunch of them, though I can't really keep them straight anymore. I own four -- Ozma of Oz, The Patchwork Girl of Oz, The Scarecrow of Oz, and Glinda of Oz -- that are first editions. They're some of my most prized possessions, although they're more or less worthless because my mother and her sisters colored in them when they were litte :)

Do you have the Annotate Wizard of Oz that they put out a few years back? I keep meaning to buy that. I think they have it in paperback in the campus store.

It's a mishmash of a couple of the books. The movie's hard to find, but it IS available on DVD. It's...it's pyschotic, but I love it.
