Druggists refuse to give out pill

You know, I almost wish I could encounter one of these activist druggists. It would be a great outlet for PMS. They'd have to call the fire department to get me out of that CVS. See icon. Smackdown, bitches.

On the other hand, I love you, Montgomery County. You are unfailingly liberal, my dear Mo Co, and I never appreciate it enough.
Mood:: 'cynical' cynical
Music:: the daily show

Okay, so I can understand people not wanting to be forced to sell something that they oppose to, but I really think they should be working hard to ensure that somebody else is there to sell them. Neil Noesen, the guy who refused to hand the script back, really irritated me. If you have the right to act in accordance with your beliefs, so does everyone else. He was forcing his beliefs on her - it's ideological rape.

Does this mean that employees can refuse to sell people cigarettes now, even if they're legally able to purchase them?

I believe if you're a pharmacist who doesn't want to fill legal prescriptions of medically-approved drugs, you ought to find another line of work that's less taxing of your conscience (and less filling of your bank account).

!
Okay, I can see how it would be bad to force them to do something that's against their ethics, but forcing your beliefs onto other people by not giving scripts back - not good. As for the abolition of birth control - deeply disturbing.
Maybe the pharmasists who morally disapprove of filling some prescriptions could post a list of scripts they won't fill, and give advanced warning? (ie. We disapprove of the morning after pill on moral grounds, and will no longer dispense it starting from the 5th of December 2004.) That would be fair.

I don't know. It scares me how society seems to be moving to the right. Many wholesale moves to the right I've seen in history end in suffering. I don't think that will happen, but...

That is just entirely entirely dispicable. And it should be illegal. I don't know how they're getting away with that!!! I have a condition called PCO, and it's treatment is birth control pills. Know what happens if I don't take the medicine? It makes it very likely I'll NEVER have babies. So, in effect, this person not giving me "pills that are the same as abortion" is actually giving me an abortion of sorts themselves. Now that, my friend, is irony. LOL. Luckily I've never run across this, else I'd be writing this responce from a jail cell, cause I'd murder the bitch. LOL.
