Gacked from a bunch of people.
This is the problem with LJ: We all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other. I'm going to rectify it. I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.

I have the three question meme going. ask me something?
vol. 1
I was aware of U2 as a child, because who could miss "With Or Without You" and "Pride (In the Name of Love)"? But it wasn't until ATYCLB came out that I was really aware of them as a contemporary band. I bought it, fell in love with it, and realized my dad had a copy of The Joshua Tree. That was the beginning. It got worse when I bought Achtung Baby a few weeks later -- I remember it was because they were using "One" in the commercials for that Nicolas Cage "It's a Wonderful Life" ripoff. At that point, I pretty much accepted that, though my taste in music is pretty extensive, I was never going to love another band or artist as completely as I loved U2.
As to the why...I see music as being divided into three factors that pleaseth me: the lyrics, the vocals, and the instruments. Now there are artists that have these in unequal proportions -- no one's ever going to pretend Bob Dylan can sing, Jimi and the Experience weren't terribly memorable wordsmiths, Eva Cassidy did nothing but covers with very simple arrangements. The easiest explanation I can give for why I love U2 so much is that they hit me in each one of those places. A good half of Bono's deliveries send chills down my spine. The guitarwork on "All I Want Is You" is some of the most stunning I've ever heard. They've penned some lyrics -- "The Wanderer," "Until the End of the World," "Running to Stand Still" -- that I feel can stand up beside the very best.
vol. 2
I guess that counts as life-changing. Also, this is definitely too long to fit in one comment box.
*whisper* I totally used to poke around on ff.net for Bono/Edge fics. I could only read them for ten minutes or so before I'd get squicked and run away (because Bono and Ali are so freaking cool, mostly).
ask me something?
Well, 'tis only fair :) Will go do. I have trouble thinking of questions, though, so they'll probably be stupid.

What is the arrangement of siblings and parents in your immediate family?
(no subject)
Only really not, I know :) I'm always saying I want to marry into a big family. My best friend, who has two younger brothers and an older sister, immediately glared and said, "You can't have Tommy. OR Joey."

if so, I guess I need another question.
How old are you?
(no subject)
Nineteen. Twenty in March.

Oh, and how many time a day do you spend writing fanfiction? And what is your favourite pairing to write/to read about?
(no subject)
It depends; usually I write in big chunks. So there are days when I don't write anything and days when I write for hours straight.
I'm seriously very flexible. I can be convinced of anything if the writing's good enough.

Cherry, I guess, when it comes right down to it. But seriously, I will take any kind of pie over pretty much any other dessert.

Have you ever been in love? *is hopelessly romantic at heart*

Have been in love, but only with a horse. And had my heart geniunely broken when I lost her. As for the two-legged race...not so far.
