Okay. I have got to stop tossing stuff in my desk drawer merely because it's there.

A partial list of things that are currently in my main desk drawer:

My cell phone.
Two packets of popcorn.
A student handbook.
An address book.
The TV remote.
A stapler.
My black-silver necklace.
My green leather bracelet.
Camera batteries.
A change purse.
An empty Pez dispenser.
A Bible.

It looks like my resolution to keep my desk neat(er) isn't doing so well.

Although my DVDs are still nicely in order and I just dumped all the empyy orange juice bottles in the trash, so that's looking up.

And because I am so bored (also because I am avoiding Polysci reading), I feel the need to list my DVD collection, which is so prettily displayed in alphabetic order in the back left-hand corner.

The Movies of Dala )

I keep forgetting "Lilo & Stitch" at home. Anyway, I like to list stuff, and there it is.

Ooooh. Now that my CDs (or at least over half of them) are alphabetized too, I can list them next. Compelling LJ writing, really.

I must take a moment to celebrate the triumphant return of PIE to the vending machine downstairs. Sure, it isn't my favorite cherry pie, but it is pie nonetheless.

My love of pie really cannot be underestimated, or even expressed in coherent terms. Suffice to say that given a choice of desserts, I will without fail always choose pie. If pie is an option for dinner, breakfast, or lunch, then I will probably pick it then too. I do not care how disgusting this is. I do not care how many calories are in one tiny little Hostess apple pie. All I know is that I love it, even if it doesn't love me back -- at least, it doesn't love my stomach, my thighs, my ass...

I'm going to keep a running tally of how much money I spend on pie this semester. If I don't waste at least twenty Flexdollars on those delicious little pastries of canned fruit product and death, well, I won't actually do anything, but I'll be very suprised.

So, pie total as of right now (because the day, love, is far from over): $.80.

Holy crap.

"Angel" is awesome.

More thoughts when it's over. If I can manage to stop crying.

Okay. Okay. Going to try and put myself together again.

It's a really weird thing that's just happened. I've watched "Chosen" only twice, once when it aired and once on tape during the summer. I didn't cry either time. But now, it's like all the emotional investment I put into that damn show for seven years, plys its months-ago demise, has suddenly hit me and I'm a total wreck.

This is stupid.

Yeah, must stop sobbing.

*minutes pass; I catch some "VH1 Goes Inside 'Survivor'" to sober me up; the sight of Jerri's ugly mug and the memory that it'll be on my TV in less than 24 hours does the trick*

Right. Better now. Posting about "Angel."

Spoilers...and me being really weird and angsty )

Oh yeah, "Smallville" was on too, but I'm not really in the mood to think about it or discuss it, and it wasn't that remarkable to begin with.

I'll be home in...'bout forty-two hours. And I'll be asleep for like sixteen of those, so they don't count. That makes it twenty-six hours, which is scarcely more than a day. Excellent.

And I'll get to see the girls!!! Or half of them -- Lauren and Allison. Half of Larissa's kids, and half of the girls (the other two being Mary and Sarah).

Time to get my Jon Stewart on.

Grrr.

I keep trying to download the original version of "Ship Song" and it's just not working.

Still, Heather Nova is my lovely lady of the moment. "Ship Song," "Sweet November," "Paper Cup," and "Aquamarine" on repeat.
