The next scene is the first one I ever wrote, back in...gah, I don't know, November? Something like that. Anyway, it's still one of my favorites and it'll be a relief to get it out there. I've read it so many times that it's kind of like when you repeat a word over and over and over until it loses its meaning.

I figured out how to make my Wolverine figure sit cross-legged, so Hamlet!Wolvie is now Yoga!Wolvie. Snerk. Sadly, this is the most amusing thing I've seen in awhile. His claws don't really go away, so he looks like he's meditating about skewering somebody.

I think I'm going to dive into the Jack/Inigo fic, though I probably won't get much accomplished today because Vanessa's friend Tim is coming to visit. Just for the day -- I seriously don't get that girl. To make two three-hour trips in one day rather than letting him spend the night? Why would she mind? He's just a guy, and he's just a friend. I certainly wouldn't mind.

The beautiful weather is no more. It's rainy today and supposed to get colder again tomorrow. Sigh. I'll have to save my writing-by-the-river for the next wave of spring.

BWAHA.

Vanessa: You know, in the next "Pirates" movie, they should have more Norrington, because I know you'd love that, and he should get kidnapped by pirates, and they can make him be a pirate...

Me: ...yeah. Yeah.
(trying not to die)

Ness: And Will's gone to law school and he's a lawyer and he goes off to rescue Norrington with Jack while Elizabeth has a baby.

Tim: Maybe Barbossa can come back from the dead.

Ness: Cheesy.

Tim: Sequels tend to be.

Ness: Maybe...Barbossa's twin brother...

Tim: I wouldn't support that.

Ness: Well, it's a thought.

Tim: I think something should happen to Jack. Maybe he and Will are like...pirate buddies.

Ness: I want to know about Mr. Gibbs. How did he turn pirate? That is my burning question. He's all anti-pirate in the beginning, and then boom, he's a pirate. What's up with that?

Tim: Bootstrap could still be alive, if he got up from the bottom of the sea. And Will could search for his father. Could be cheesy, though.

Ness: Don't care.

Tim: There's definitely got to be a new villain though. Don't know what they're going to do with that. Have you seen the internet sites with all the fan speculation about the sequel?

(me choking)

Ness: We should write the sequel. They could have a contest and people could vote.

Tim: But the person who won would have to get a cut.

Ness: No, the prize would be...meeting Johnny Depp.

Tim: I still don't like that idea, fans writing the thing. There's some crazy ideas out there -- lot about Bootstrap, and the monkey.

(me thinking oh god oh god don't mention slash i'm such a bad liar don't do it don't bring it up)


Can you see how I stopped participating in the conversation because I was too busy transcribing and internally cracking up?
