the Dalaverse

In honor of the 88 degree high today (kill me before we get to real summer, please), I'm wearing the cupcake shirt and a denim skirt. The cupcake shirt is one of my favorite finds from H&M; it's brown and a sort of crinkly gauze, square neckline, with some lighter-colored, almost tie-dye-looking lace at the bodice that gets cinched by a ribbon, and little floaty not-quite-sleeves. It looks...like a cupcake.

Heh, Lauren blinked at me and said, "Cute...you look cute!", all surprised because I don't usually bother to dress like a page from Delia's catalogue like most of the campus's female population. But it's hot, and my shorts are too big, so...::shrugs:: It's a nice way to start the day, at least.

Hmmm. Music must be carefully chosen. Listened to Jimmy too recently, the Spring Mix is sadly CD-less, Flogging Molly was yesterday...I think I'll go with the "Now and Then" soundtrack. Sunny late '60s pop should do the trick.

This one would be the Comedy Mix, if I weren't too lazy to actually assemble a decent mix. As it is, it's just sort of...a sampling of my collection, which you can put into any order you wish.

Stephen Lynch is really crude and offensive, btw. Look at the titles, and then don't say I didn't warn you.

I don't write Jack/Elizabeth. I enjoy them both in the context of poly relationships, and I'll read J/E fics from authors I like, but I've never felt an interest in writing that particular pairing on its own.

Um. Well. Then there was this...thing.

Somewhat inspired by "Her Best Friend's Bottom" and "So, for example, I can visit your Sydney, or your Melbourne, but not your bush." Also operating on the deleted scenes version of the island scene, which does not imply that Elizabeth came up with the idea of burning the rum the second Jack popped out the rum.

Oh, and named after a Ryan Adams song. Again. It was almost "Touch, Feel & Lose," but I'm saving that for some future angsty Sparrington.
