Amnesty. Amnesty amnesty amnesty. For last week, and the next three weeks or so. And I'll tell you why (this is as much for my own benefit, in the hopes that it will terrify me into action):

December 1 (as in this Thursday): Archaeology and Prehistory Paper due
December 5/9: Report on Museum Studies topic
December 6: Ethnography report and presentation
December 7: Social Statistics paper due
December 12: Social Stat exam
December 13: Archaeology exam
December 14: Museum Studies paper due; MS exam; Social Interaction exam; SI take-home final essay due

Would you like to take a guess at how much of that I've gotten started? (Aside from obtaining sources ::ravishes doolabug once again::)

So I'm going to be making my best effort to avoid LJ and the Internets or at least lurk quietly. That said, please do point me at anything you think I'd like, be it fic, meta, or thoughts on The Trailer, which I have downloaded and watched but not truly taken in yet (except fabu, I already poked my head over your way 'cause I knew I needed to). Oh! And linaelyn! Your package came last week and omg pirates and map and SQUEEEEE! Thank you SO MUCH! I have this whole plastic pirate flotilla now...I really need to build them a Lego ship or something...

Thursday, December 15: death or peace

Huzzah! Archaeology paper postponed until next Thursday. I had a feeling she'd do that. Now I feel kind of bad about skipping last week. This makes the first thing due...the ethnography. Ech. I suppose I will have to drag myself out to Solomons tomorrow morning to wander around and be creepy. There's supposed to be a section about "memorable experiences," which are not experiences of your interviewees like you might think, but personal memorable experiences. If nothing memorable happens to me on a Tuesday morning, I'll just have to rely on the old standby and Make Shit Up.

Oh, and my passport, she is arrived! El pasaporte está aquí! (La pasaporte, perhaps?) I can now leave the country. I have a hankering to drive to Mexico and/or Canada to test it out. Or do you not have to have a passport if you're not leaving the continent? It's no fun that way.

As long as I'm here and wasting time yet again and it's officially holiday season, I'll do that wishlist meme. ( The list and rules. )
