Sammy and Joe both break my heart in different ways, though Sammy more than Joe, at the moment, because Joe is with Rosa and she's kind of annoying. And I totally skipped ahead to see if the direction of Sammy's character went where I thought it was going (in the most non-spoiler way I can put it), and he totally IS. AWESOME.
