Wooo, that was fun. Student/faculty dance show. There was some weird interpretive stuff, including Björn dragging himself around strapped to a gurney with sirens blaring, and something with boxes and books and angry shuffling dancers, but most of it was very cool. A number about the homeless of SM County, after which a couple of the dancers (dressed up as homeless people) wandered around in the audience. A pretty, simple ballet-type-thing with three females representing different stages in the life of one dancer. A traditional Indian dance, which is awesome because I love Indian dance and I haven't seen any in person since Sweta's sixteenth birthday party. A song from a new play based on The Trojan Women that had me in tears.
And my favorite: the two African dances, with at least twenty people on stage and a couple of drummers. They looked like they were having so much fun.
Also, Björn's two adorable little blond daughters were in a few dances each. The older one, who I think is twelve, looked just like Tina's sister.
Good form, SMCM. Good form.
