I noticed something wonky going on yesterday, but I've only just heard the news this morning.

This is...man, I can't even collect my thoughts. HFS is gone

1) I hate change of all kinds.
2) I had an ongoing love/hate with HFS (and man, but I loathed the Junkies), but it was an institution, man! Sometimes they played music that I couldn't stand (at the time), sometimes they introduced me to songs I really liked -- like, recently, singles from Keane, Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand and Morrissey.
3) Had no interest in the HFStival, but a lot of kids loved that thing to death, and I feel bad that they can't go anymore.
4) Where the heck will I listen to Loveline when I'm on the East Coast? Adam and Dr. Drew = OTP.
So, yay for fans of latin music, but woe to those of us that liked the station. It's a little piece of my teen years gone. ::sniffle:: (There's a lot of pieces of my teen years I'd like to get rid of, but the rock stations aren't part of that list. :))

3. I never went to HFStival, mostly because there weren't enough bands I wanted to see and it was freakin' hot that time of year, but now I'm wishing I had, because the chance has been taken away from me.
4. LOVELINE! I caught it for the first time in two years around Thanksgiving. Oh, it was brilliant.

3. The tales of beer'n'boobies at HFStival didn't exactly make me come a-runnin', plus, like you said, not a lot of bands I wanted to see. Ironically, this year's Lollapalooza was the first time I was ever interested in going, so of course they cancel it. Do you remember hearing about that Gayapalooza some group was organizing? I wish that hadn't fallen through.
4. Oh, Loveline. I love how they don't even answer the callers anymore. There was one call where Drew and Adam spent the whole time trying to time the beeps coming out of the caller's faulty smoke detector.
