Can anybody give me a legitimate reason why a nice old captain who doesn't sail a particularly distingushed or important ship might, er, send his three midshipmen home at the same time? One of them has a death in the family, so that's his excuse, but I want them together. I know I've read H/A fics where they've gone to visit Archie's family for awhile...

Here's hoping they'll cancel all classes noon and later so I can spend the rest of the day writing this bitch ::crosses fingers:: Think cold in my direction, ya'll.

And GIP! Lookit what [livejournal.com profile] drbillbongo made me! ::frolics::
Music:: "stay," the zodiacs (i think)

hmm, well, one of them could have had scheduled leave, and it just happened to coincide with the other person's death in the family. Uh, as far as the third person goes......give me some time, I may yet come up with something... :-D

Officers (which included mids) tended to get fairly generous shore leave when a ship was in port.

Maybe the ship needed some minor repairs, so the captain gave them a week's leave? What they did with it would be entirely their own *cough* affair, provided they were old enough to be let out on their own. (15-ish)
