I'm so happy -- I haven't been so thoroughly affected by a movie since I was twelve and it was "Titanic," and...I was twelve. Completely deserved. I was expecting it to do well, but not that well.

Tomorrow, hopefully while I bask in the glory of a snow day, I will relate details of the fantabulous weekend, but for now I'm overwhelmed by the squee.

You were twelve when Titanic came out? TWELVE?

Yes. For which fact I blame the watching of the VH1 countdown every Friday to see Celine Dion and the weeping when the video finally dropped out.

Hey, you are just a year older than me. Cool.

I am overwhealmed by the squee as well - aww, cute widdle Charlie Kaufman. And baby Chris Walken. Aww.

I've never seen "Adaptation," but I was pleased that he won for "Eternal Sunshine."

You have got to see Adaptation - it is an amazingly weird and brilliant head trip. I have no idea how he was able to get the whole idea of the movie to work, but he did, and it is brilliant.

What is "Million Dollar Baby" about?
And I was 13 when "Titanic" came out... But it left me quite unaffected for a sappy movie, as far as I can remember. Usually, I cry my eyes out after movies like that...

Hilary Swank plays a female boxer who coaxes Clint Eastwood into training her. And then there are tissues.

Million Dollar baby's about a female boxer. Dala'd probably be more help answering that though... I was 18 when I saw it. Well, when it came out. I didn't see it until waaay later. :P

I cried and clung to my girlfriend for the second half of the movie. It was so sad!
