Crap, I completely forgot about the Day of Silence until I got to the Campus Center this afternoon. I did happen to be wearing black, though, and I picked up a ribbon. So I was supportive, I just didn't quite get the silence bit. Sucks it fell on a Wednesday; all my favorite people in Modern Thought were participating. It was a rather subdued discussion.
They sell Pocky in the campus story now. POCKY. I know where the rest of my Flexdollars are going this semester.
I should put myself on fandom or at least fic-writing hiatus until after finals, but we all know how that would turn out.
Bleah. I am a fount of randomness today. Did you know the human head weighs eight pounds?
Movies came, so yay. "Monsoon Wedding," the first disc of "The Office," and the first disc of QaF season 2. I was having a serious Brian/Justin craving this week, and I couldn't read most of the
crack_van recs because they're set in or past season 3 and 4.
OH! I almost forgot!
aradiria, your postcard came too! THANK YOU!!! :) ::hoggles::
It's so much fun to get mail, it must be nearly as much fun to give it out. Anybody want a postcard? I feel like sending them out before school ends. E-mail me your address or something and I'll be happy to oblige. I swear I'll really do it. I suck at snail mail, but this time I WIN AT MAIL AND LIFE.
World Carnival this weekend. I have no idea why we didn't go last year. Wish it coincided with the visit of parents + grandma + cousins, but ah well, we'll go hang out at Point Lookout instead. The girls can go swimming if the water's not too cold. I think I finally convinced my dad that they will be bored stiff by Historic. He seems to be operating under the delusion that it's like a mini-Williamsburg, when really it's just a great big winding path through an open field. There are some reproduction houses at the beginning, and the shop, and the dock, then you walk for fifty yards. A little stand with info and/or a frame house. Fifty more blank yards. A water fountain made to look like a barrel. Fifty more yards. The chapel, which they're working on so you can't go look at. Fifty more yards. A fork in the path. Fifty more yards. A trashcan made to look like a barrel. And so on, until you get back to the beginning. I like it, and there's Daffodil Valley which is really pretty, and it's a great place to run, but two ten-year-olds are going to be bored stiff.
There can't really be only two more weeks of class left. They lie.
