Pssst -- can anybody who's really observant, or likes weird trivia, or has the opportunity to pop in the PotC DVD for half a sec tell me what color Jonathan Pryce's eyes are? Google and IMDB have been most reticent on the subject.

This has nothing to do with anything. Nuh-uh. I'm just sitting here quietly doing my work.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] aradiria reports "hazel or green." Doesn't anybody in this freakin' movie have blue eyes? Except Cotton, I think Cotton does. AND I LOVE HIM.
Mood:: 'blah' blah

I remember him saying that green eyes ran in his family...::runs off to check:: Aha, he does say the baby has his eyes. Dangit! I want them to be blue!

Oh, don't be! I did ask :) And it all worked out in the end.

P.S. 's poly. Not long, plotty poly, but still...

You had me so curious that I did put in the DVD. For some reason I was thinking his eyes are brown...
Watching the DVD did little to help. They are either brown or hazel...
OH, one more thing. I don't know why people thing the film is set in the 17th Century. It's actually the 18th Century, before the American Revolution. The clothes, style of homes, even the upcoming end of piracy lets that be known. Not trying to be rude, just thought you might want to knwo.

Well, I wouldn't say it's possible to pin down a timeline for the film. The sets and costumes and whatnot are, from what I can see, kind of cobbled together from lots of different periods. I tend to place my fics in the early 18th to give Jack a few years before the end of the golden age of piracy, but considering Port Royal sank into the ocean on 1692, we're all in some weird alternate universe :)

Yeah, I agree. I'm mainly going off of the costumes and the age of piracy. I don't think Disney really cared about accuracy for these films. LOL But, the clothes are definately set no more than 40 years before the American Revolution. Think Colonial Williamsburg. LOL

I knew it had to be 18th century. The costumes just remind me far too much of Colonnial Williamsburg. That and all of those paintings from my history books of the "birth" of America. Can you tell I was a history student? LOL
