ETA: anybody got the non-vid-cut version of "Gin Soaked Boy" by the Divine Comedy?
All right, here's the Chill Out Mix, also referred to as the Good For the Blues Mix, because it's got a lot of depressing songs on it and I like listening to depressing music when I'm depressed.
"In My Life," the Beatles (if you didn't know that this is my favorite Beatles song, and one of my top five songs ever...well, now you do)
"I'm On Fire," Heather Nova and Natalie Merchant (live) (this is originally "Ship Song," but you've got that one already, and this cover's fantastic)
"The Cider House Rules" Main Theme, Rachel Portman
"The Blower's Daughter," Damien Rice
"Paper Cup," Heather Nova (hey, Heather's really good for this mood)
"Don't Think Twice, It's Alright," the Indigo Girls with Joan Baez (the existence of this song is almost enough to make my little agnostic self kneel before the Divine)
"With or Without You," U2 (live, 1987) (a beautiful live version completely faithful to the album version, except where there's this INCREDIBLE guitar solo after Bono says "thank you" and some very pre-"One" ad-libbed lyrics...)
"The Shadowlands," Ryan Adams
"Loneliness of Six," theme from BTVS: Lovers Walk, Christophe Beck
"Tupelo Honey," Van Morrison
"Collide," Howie Day
"Flying As She Falls," Heather Nova
"My City of Ruins," Bruce Springsteen (live at the Tribute to Heroes concert)
"Forrest Gump," Feather Theme, Alan Silvestri
"Fare Thee Well," the Indigo Girls
"Pink Moon," Nick Drake
"Honey and the Moon," Joseph Arthur
"Hallelujah," Jeff Buckley
And the most recent, the Baltimore Mix, which ironically wasn't in the car for either trip. It's awfully fun, though, and I've been listening to it ever since. Several of these are courtesy of
hannahrorlove
"Wild World," Cat Stevens
"Breathe (2 AM)," Anna Nalick
"Mr. E's Beautiful Blues," the Eels
"Faith," George Michael
"The Tailor of Aquitaine," Jack Harris
"The Christians and the Pagans," Dar Williams
"Worst Day Since Yesterday," Flogging Molly
"Somewhere Only We Know," Keane
"Since You've Been Gone," Kelly Clarkson (......I have no excuse. I am shamed.)
"Canned Heat," Jamiroquai
"Eleanor," Low Millions
"Stop Crying Your Heart Out," Oasis
"The Way You Make Me Feel," Michael Jackson (whose music I have absolutely no problem illegally downloading and sharing, btw)
"Kitty," the Presidents of the United States of American (kittykittykittykittykittykitty -- TOUCH IT!)
"When Doves Cry," Prince
"Along Comes Mary," the Association
"This Is Your Life," Switchfoot
"Centerfold," the J. Geils Band
"Sail Those Same Oceans," Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts
"Walk the Walk," Poe (does anybody have more Poe they could send me, btw? I kind of love this chick)
"Take Your Mama Out," Scissor Sisters
"Consequence Free," Great Big Sea
"Come a Little Bit Close," Jay and the Americans
This time, I'm also making a request. If anybody has these songs available for to send, please let me know:
"Desperado," the Eagles
"Chariot," Gavin DeGraw
"About Her," Malcolm McLaren (the original version)
"Home," Marc Broussard
anything by Ben Taylor -- okay, so that one's a longshot, but I thought I'd give it a shot. He's the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon, he was on "American Dreams" this year, and he's beautiful.

I sadly have none of the songs you have requested, but you have no idea how happy I am to see someone else sharing "The Tailor of Aquitaine."

It's a beautiful little ditty.
