I wish my mother hadn't made me go with her to take Sugar for her checkup. It isn't necessary for both of us to be there. It was the first time I had gone to the vet's office with a cat since Snake; I suppose Hershey was too distracting for me to dwell on it. But today it was just too much. We weren't in the same room, but still. And then I come home and let Sugar out of the cat carrier, and she runs off, and Dad says, "Look at Snake go!" He does that all the time. He calls the dog Samantha too. Again, today, it really got to me.

I wonder if this empty space will fill up when I get my own place and my own pet. Or at least start to fill up. It'll have been two years this August.

And my iPod has not come yet ::frowns::

Nope. That's Snake's place. Nobody is ever going to take it. But there's plenty of room in there for all kinds of other love, and you'll find that, and eventually it won't hurt as much and some day you'll be able to think about Snake and it will only be "Oh it was so funny the way he" and "he was really sweet when he" and you won't even think about "Oh and I miss him so much."

But you will always miss him, a little bit.
