Please allow me to steal a joke from the incomparable Mr. Jon Stewart: Damn, I promised myself I wouldn't ululate!

Your dogs are freaking out because I'm making a song only they can hear.

In other news, I called the Apple store, and they gave me a hotline number, and then a very nice man named Bala stayed on the phone with me for over an hour and talked me through the process of giving the software permission to access the two...somethings my computer didn't want to let it access. Bala is now my favorite person in all the world.

Happiness is a warm iPod. I'm even becoming accustomed to the click wheel. And these earbuds are seriously fantastic. I've been using Sony earbuds for years, and these are far superior.

I named it Grace O'Malley, because it being a U2 edition I thought it needed an Irish name; nothing in my Lady Gregory seemed to suit, and then I remembered the famous pirate, and that's doubly fitting.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
