First Wacky Professor offering of the year. I had Social Interaction tonight, which does not look like fun. The whole class spaced out while Raney talked for a solid thirty-five minutes.

Then he brought out a human brain in a bucket, and we woke up.

The class still looks crappy, but I have to take it -- I can't wait to get the sociology portion of soan over with. At least Archaeology and Prehistory and Museum Studies should be good. Field trips!

I miss my old professors. This is the first time in a year I haven't had Dr. Adams, and the first time in a year and a half I haven't had Richardson. I need to get recommendations for both of them for my Oxford application, and I think I need a third, which will take some thought. I suppose I could either ask Katharina or Dr. Langley, but I don't think Dr. L is on campus this semester, so that would be more difficult to arrange. Gahhhh. Why can't I just have two? Two were all I needed to apply to bloody college.

Oh, and apparently it's "against college and state policies" for LTR to help me get the virus off my computer. Fabulous. If someone had told me this when I'd asked over the summer, I could have taken it to Best Buy when I had the money and the time. I swear I'm going to just connect to the network, and fuck it if there are any consequences for them.

Okay, no, I wouldn't really. But it's tempting.

Ahhh, college... Those were the days (then again this is only my second year of not being there).

Oh, as for the networking, if you did hook up (I know you wouldn't, but still) they would hunt you down and slap you with a major fine. Happened to a friend of mine in college. Then they had to appologize when it was discovered she got the virus from the school, the damn college kept the money.

Stupidhead is one of the greatest words ever (as a substitute for dumbass)! I thought I was the only person to use it.

So if you're applying to Oxford as an American student, do you have to pick a college? And if so, which one are you going to pick?

(And if you want seriously biased advice on that matter, let me know ...)

I'll be going through my college's program, which has a thing with the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies -- associated with St. Peter's, I think.

Belated response - don't know much about St Peter's but it's bang in the centre of Oxford and always looked nice. Red brick. Quite unusual among the sandstone the rest of the place is built in. :)
