Despite sleeping badly last night, I am having a marvelous day. Payroll deposit, movies in my mailbox, frozen pizza in the fridge. Last but certainly not least, a perfect score on my Museum Studies midterm ::does the dance of Professor Likes My Writing, Yay!:: In general I have been kicking this semester's ass. I still have to get my Archaeology exam back, but I'm not too worried about that one. I'm also pimping my classes out to each other. I have a medium-to-largeish paper due for each of four classes. I will be writing about underwater archaeology for Museum Studies, museums for Social Interaction and Stat, and possibly the Caribbean for Archaeology/Prehistory. ROCK.
(no subject)
The Caribbean paper -- here's the question I'm considering: "Scientists are very interested in the process of culture contact [so is Dala!]; what happens when different cultures meet. Pick a region - Spanish Florida, the Caribbean, the mid-Atlantic are a few suggestions - and examine the contact processes as learned from archaeological evidence." It pinged me because I'd love to get back the crazy Dunn purple-prosed book I used on the PR paper, but that's more history narrative than archaeologically bent, so sources would be super-welcome there too.
I LOVE YOU DOOLA! PIRATEKITTEN LOVES TOU TOO!
