Aha! I found it! My favorite ghost story ever. Here's a link to the basics, although you'll have to imagine the tale at nighttime, while staring up at the house in question, listening to a seasoned tour guide who really knew his stuff. This one kept me up nights, and I should warn y'all, it's really, really gruesome as well as creepy...

I tried to retell it for years, but had forgotten the details. It's even better-worse than I remembered. You can't make that shit up. Or, you could, but I wouldn't want to be ANYWHERE nearby :)

No gruesome pictures -- just the house, which is TOTALLY creepifying in the dark but looks fairly ordinary otherwise.
