This week's College Democrats meeting featured a viewing of "Bush's Brain," a documentary about Karl Rove which I think was released just prior to the election. It wasn't great, but it clarified a lot of things I've heard mentioned and been curious about, such as the smear campaigns against John McCain and Max Cleland.

I don't think I have any more disgust or rage left. I'm just...sad. Honestly sick at heart to bear witness to all that has happened, is happening, to my country. I remember in high school one of my favorite teachers, the loud and proud no-nonsense Miss Penn, telling us that she had decided to pretty much live under a rock as far as the news was concerned (as this was just in time for Bush's first inauguration, I think her meaning was fairly plain). I always thought that was irresponsible, but now I'm seeing the appeal.

I even find it difficult to laugh at Jon Stewart. I still do, but the wince keeps threatening to overpower it; this is almost more gallows than my humor can take.

The campus store did not have Nyquil. I look forward to waking up at ass o'clock in the morning again because I can't breathe.

Also, fuck Samuel Alito and his Planned Parenthood v. Casey ruling.
Mood:: 'discontent' discontent

I'm sortof in that 'live under a rock' state. It started with the recall election that earned us in CA the Governator.

I hope you feel better soon! I'm also hitting the Nyquil but finding that Contac-D is working pretty good during the day.

Tylenol Cold's my daytime med, and it's not bad -- but there's nothing like the sweet sleep induced by Nyquil.

There's just stuff going around, eh?

You ever want to just, drive a car into someone else's car, because their bumper stickers are so ignorant.

I saw a woman driving a 16 passanger van with at least 6 kids in it today, 'Planned Parenthood kills suchandsuchnumber of babies every day' with a picture of a dead baby on it. I swear to all that's holy if that cop hadn't been right there.
