Blaahhhhhh. Stupid combined major. Why Sociology/Anthropology, SMCM? Why can't you just let me walk out of here with an anthro degree, if not an actual archaeology degree? I DON'T LIKE PEOPLE! I DON'T WANT TO BE A SOCIOLOGIST!
I especially do not want to write my Social Statistics paper. A paper. FOR A MATH CLASS. That is just...wrong, wrong, all levels of wrongness.
On the side of good, Ness and I saw the Narnia movie today and it was just marvelous. Loved the kids, loved the animals and creatures, loved the voicework, loved the scenery, loved the extra action, loveloveloved it. I'm particularly pleased they changed that line about women not fighting in wars, because it left me really unsettled when I reread the book this fall. I know, I know, cultural standard and whatnot, but I don't have to bloody like it.
Um. Peter was hot (the boy is eighteen! It's totally not pervy!) Mr. Tumnus was also hot (not pervy). Although I did get a little child molestation vibe from him and Lucy, which thoroughly creeped me out. Mostly because Lucy looks exactly like one of my little cousins. Was Rutger Hauer not the voice of Maurgir? Because it sounded just like him. Got seriously distracted during the battle by Peter (or Peter's stunt double, more like) on his unicorn. Bareback. In chain and plate armor. BAREBACK. My thighs, they did wince.
And there was The Trailer! I was afraid they might not show it, but it was just the very last one, and the whole theater was delighted. Though not, of course, as insanely squeefully delighted as yours truly.
OMG I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS STUPID THINGAMAJIG. STATISTICS ARE THE SUUUUUUUUUCK.

I am jealous that you saw The Trailer. We were waiting in line to get the tickets when the movie started 10 minutes early. We walked into the theater as the movie was starting. I may just have to see the movie again to see the bit before...
Sorry about the paper. The only advice I have for you is to suck it up and do what you can to pass it. I had to do that enough in college and I was there 5 years. Pretend you really care and you will do fine.

Normally I can do that, but this semester, I just want to be at Oxford already :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY btw!

Thanks for the "Happy Birthday." It was an interesting day. I should post about it.
